Reflection on Fish in a Tree

The way I think about Ally is not able to read, but she has great creativity. It is cool the way at the beginning Ally was all by herself, but towards the end, Ally, Keisha, and Albert are like this little group. Also the way that Ally described the difference of alone and lonely was amazing. I like Albert and Keisha because they are there for Ally and for each other. I think Mr. Daniels already knew that Ally can’t read. Mr. Daniels is different from other teachers. He is testing Ally and she doesn’t even know it. What I want to know is that did Mr. Daniels tell Mrs. Silver and Ally’s mother or not? I found this story interesting. I felt like it was happening as we read the book. Some reasons I thought that it was authentic was because a girl could have dyslexia without knowing, and the could have really made fun of Ally. I love they way the author titled the book. You would think that it is about a fish who wants to be different, but when you read it, it is completely different.

An Open Letter to My Mom

Dear Mom,

You were one of the first people I saw when my eyes first opened. When you first said hello, you didn’t have to tell me twice. I knew exactly who you were. When you first held me and brought me home, I knew you were the one for me. We may think differently, but without you, I don’t know what I what I would do. I normally don’t understand what you say sometimes, but I know that you will always be a part of my world. Even if I don’t understand, like monkey eating a taco.
